Manchester Refugee Support Network, 129 Princess Road, Moss Side Manchester M14 4RB
Telephone: 0161 232 7420
A refugee-led organisation offering advice and support to refugees and asylum seekers in Greater Manchester. We currently provide a general advice service on welfare rights, housing and debt advice, NASS and access to education and health services. We also provide support, training and advice on funding for refugee community groups.
Client group: asylum seekers, refugees and refugee community groups
MRSN is looking for volunteers to do administration work, and to give advice and information. Volunteers for advice and information work should ideally have some experience, and, as they will be working with refugees and asylum seekers, they will need to be bilingual in a refugee community language.
Ring 0161 232 7420 for more information.

Sunrise Volunteers at MRSN
Sunrise is a new project aiming to enhance refugee integration by assisting refugees through the difficult transition from support as an asylum seeker to building a new life in the UK.
Are you living in Manchester?
Want to meet and help refugees?
Are you available weekdays, for a few hours?
If yes, then MRSN has opportunities for volunteers to assist refugees who have just been granted permission to stay in the UK. You will assist one or two refugees at a time and help them deal with the problems they will face as they settle in the UK. You will be invited to attend social events with other volunteers, refugees and community members.
Previous experience is not necessary, as training will be provided. However, reasonable level of English is required and volunteers who can speak a second language are appreciated. Volunteers from all backgrounds are welcome.
For more information, call Hassan on 0161 232 7420 or send us an email.
