Wesley Community Furniture Project

Wesley Furniture ProjectNeed some furniture? On a low income? We can help.

What does Wesley Community Furniture Project do?

We provide people in need with household items that are donated to us. We have a shop in Fallowfield where people can choose and purchase items from our affordable stock.

Who can use our service?

People on low incomes, for instance, you may be receiving Tax Credits or Benefits. We also help people in the direst of circumstances who are referred to us from agencies such as Social Services, Social Landlords, CABs, refugee organisations, family crisis bodies, women's refuges, organisations for the homeless or those just out of hospital/hostels etc.

Wesley's Homestarter packs

These are for our referred clients who are usually individuals or families moving into homes with nothing to sleep on, sit on, or put things in/on. You can choose items from our stock (currently to a package cost of £40-80). These will then be delivered by Wesley's van fleet. We tend to throw in 'the kitchen sink' when presented with families with just the clothes they stand in: pots & pans, plates & cutlery, sheets & bedding are included.

More about us

Our operation consists of our main shop/office/work unit, a second smaller shop, a warehouse, a small fleet of 4 vans, 4 paid staff, and our invaluable team of 10-15 volunteers and trainees (most of whom work 5 days a week).

We collect donations of household items from the public from all over the Manchester area. We then sort, repair (if viable), store, sell (at minimal cost) and deliver items to our clients.

How to contact us

Our shop is situated opposite the old Maine Road football ground, just before the junction with Parkside Road at:
