If you are interested in moving to another area within Manchester, the Homeswap scheme could help you find tenants who live in another area who want to exchange homes with you.  Tenants in Council or Housing Association properties can register details on the database to be matched up with a tenant in an area to which they want to move. For more information, you can contact Homefinder on 0161 230 2534 OR you can visit their website

Please note, Manchester Housing will require that you pay off any arrears before exchanging.  You will need to discuss this with the staff at your local housing office.  You will not be allowed to exchange your home if you are an introductory tenant.

HOMES mobility Scheme no longer exists.
