What is Supporting People?

The Supporting People programme offers vulnerable people the opportunity to improve their quality of life by providing a stable environment which enables greater independence.

Supporting People delivers high quality and strategically planned housing-related services which are cost effective and reliable, and complement existing care services. The planning and development of services are needs led. Supporting People is a working partnership of local government, service users and support agencies.

Manchester City Council Supporting People Partnership

 

Tender for the provision of housing support services
for people who have experienced domestic abuse
 (ReF CP/LR/TC/517)

 

Manchester City Council is inviting organisations to tender for housing related support services to people who have experienced domestic abuse including:

  • Lot 1  Emergency, 24 hour-accommodation based homeless prevention service for 8 women and their children who are threatened with homelessness because of domestic abuse.  There will be a 100% Nomination Agreement between the support provider and Manchester City Council

  • Lot 2  Housing related support services at five refuges in the city

  • Lot 3 Outreach and resettlement support

Organisations will be expected to have at least 12 months experience of providing good quality housing related support, managing accommodation and achieving successful outcomes.

The deadline for receipt of tenders is 16.00 GMT on Tuesday 11 November 2008.
