You may feel you need to move because you or a member of your family can no longer manage in your current accommodation. This could be because of a disablity or just because you have become older.
Supporting People

I need to move to another area
If you rent from the Council or from a Housing Association, you may be able to swap your home with someone in another area or get a transfer.
My home is being demolished
If your home is being demolished, it is likely that it has either been declared unfit for habitation by the council or that the land is needed for some other purpose. In both cases, you have certain rights regarding rehousing and you may also be entitled to compensation.
