There are a number of non-council organisations that may be able to help you if you are homeless in Manchester. Most of these organisations will offer practical help to homeless people such as providing food, showers, clothes, advice and activities (there may be a small charge for some of the services).
Shelter
Shelter can give advice about homelessness, problems with landlords, eviction, domestic violence etc. Note: Shelter does not provide food, showers or clothes.
City Centre Project
Advice and help with housing, homelessness, welfare benefits, money and debt problems, and other issues relevant to young people. Specialist support services for young refugees and asylum seekers. Client group: young people aged 16-25 years old.
Lifeshare
Help for homeless people, especially street homeless.
The Booth Centre
Drop in sessions Tues and Thurs 10am - 12pm. Advice available.
