War Disablement Pension

You may be able to claim War Disablement Pension if your disability or illness was as a result of your service in the HM Armed Forces prior to 6th April 2005.

From 6 April 2005 the Veteran’s Agency is delivering a new pension scheme known as the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS) (external website). It replaces the War Disablement Pension Scheme and the benefits of the Armed Forces Pension Scheme (AFPS) for injuries, illnesses or death caused on or after 6 April 2005.
